About
Hello, I'm Ella.
I'm a poet, visual poet and artist working on my first full-length collection, These Are Different Waters, and also a little visual poetry pamphlet, Mixed Concrete.
I'm a PhD student at the University of Melbourne. My thesis is a comparative literature study of contemporary French and Australian visual poetry, looking particularly at women practitioners of the form.
Other interests: translation, drawing, sound poetry, my two cats.
I'm currently based in Naarm/Melbourne, living on the unceded, sovereign Lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations, and am originally from Sydney (Gadigal Lands). My family is from Newfoundland and the UK.
